This year marks Doug Nalle's 30th vintage. He began his wine career as the very first cellar worker hired at Château Souverain, and continued honing his skills at Jordan Vineyards, Quivira Vineyards and others. In 1984 Nalle began making his own wine. Today, Nalle Winery produces 2,000 cases of wine each year with the help of his wife, Lee, and sons Andrew and Sam (who you'll also find behind the Jimtown Store counter during summer vacations!). Come meet the Nalle family and taste their celebrated wines, along with tasty Jimtown nibbles.

You will be treated to all of Unti's latest releases:
2000 Syrah Their most flamboyant Syrah to date, according to Mick Unti
2000 Zinfandel bright, fruity and spicy, a classic Dry Creek Zin!
2000 Segromigno a medium bodied blend of Sangiovese & Syrah
Paired with
Jimtown Fig & Olive with Point Reyes Blue Crostini
Chipotle Pumpkin Empanadas
Jimtown Spiced Olives
Dates stuffed with Vella Mezzo Secco cheese
Leek & Roasted Red Pepper Paté
The Untis bought their 21-acre vineyard in 1990. Going against Dry Creek Valley's "norm" of planting Zinfandel grapes, George Unti planted Syrah and Sangiovese. Why? Because the Unti family enjoys Tuscan and Rhone style wines, with deep colors, intense fruit and spice flavors. Dry Creek's Mediterranean climate was a perfect match for these grapes, and the Untis have become one of the "pioneers" in planting new and interesting varietals, (although they also followed suit and planted good, old Zinfandel, too!). They've been making wine professionally since 1997, starting with 2,000 cases, and growing to 4,200 in the 2000 vintage. Come meet the Unti family and enjoy their wonderful wines with us!
