Breaking News and Mid-Issue Updates
Summer 2002
This new appendix to our calendar serves as a running update to the sonomapicnic.com and the guidebook Sonoma Picnic A Wine Country Travel Companion.
One of the inevitable aspects of guidebook writing is that as soon as your book is out on the market, small bits and pieces of information will become out of date. One of the great things about the Internet is that you can continuously update your work online. Please scroll on for breaking news:

Jimtown in the News:
The P-D's Diane Peterson visited Jimtown and her May 1 article (including some of Carrie's favorite recipes) brought a surge of new visitors to the store.
J-burg made a splash at the 27th Winter Fancy Food Show held in January at the Moscone Center with their Spicy Olive Spread, which bagged a line and a photo in the Chron. Acclaimed as an example of "California ingenuity," the authors noted this new offering's "intriguing hit of cumin." (I think they meant "hint," but one wonders: Don't Boge that spread, my friend; pass it over to me.) Article text on-line at SF Gate.
Time on Our Lands 2002:
The Sonoma Land Trust invites members and friends to Time on our Lands 2002 on Saturday, July 27, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at Griffin Villa at Healdsburg's Hop Kiln Winery. The Trust provides beverages, dessert, music and river-related fun for guests, who bring their own picnic.
